Diminishing Horizons

This was taken on a recent excursion for my photograpy course.

We walked from Greenwich along the Thames path to almost as far as the Thames Barrier – where we had a well-earned pint (or two).

The above photo was taken quite early into the walk.

I have a thing for photos of old things and was quite taken by this old bollard.

A few of my classmates were still walking down the alleyway and I thought it would make a good backdrop if I used a narrow depth of field to blur them slightly.

Finally, I converted it to black and white (using the “Rob Carr” method) in Photoshop.
