Diminishing Horizons

A few months back at work I spotted a Polaroid camera on a colleague’s desk.

I commented on it and was immediately offered it for free.

Not one to say no to another camera I took it off his hands.

It took me a while to track down some film for it, as although it is available it’s far from cheap.

I eventually tracked down a relative bargain on eBay though.

Two nights ago was my leaving do from the same company and I brought the Polaroid along.

It was a big hit, with everyone happy to pose for the camera and eager to see the results right away.

The tactile, “pass-around” nature of it was completely different from looking at the back of a digital camera.

If only it were a bit cheaper I’d do it more often.
